THE ANGLICAN CHURCH
THE ANGLICAN CHURCH
|
GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRITAs Anglicans, we believe in The Holy Trinity, one God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We are disciples of God the Son, Jesus Christ, and we make up a community that recognizes His presence in our midst through the God the Holy Spirit AN EVANGELICAL CHURCHAs Anglicans we are gospel Christians, evangelicals (people who share the Good News of Jesus Christ) like the first Christians. We believe in the Good News of the Kingdom of God proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Our response to Jesus' call is to give Him our lives and follow Him as disciples through conversion and faith. We believe that by the incarnation, death and resurrection of Jesus, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we have a new and abundant life, being reconciled with God and becoming his adopted sons and daughters. A SACRAMENTAL CHURCHAs Anglicans we celebrate and receive the Seven Sacraments. The two sacraments of Jesus: Baptism & Holy Eucharist; and the five sacraments of the Church: Reconciliation, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage and Holy Unction. We believe in the mystical presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist and recognize that the sacraments are an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual Grace. |
